2022 Highlights/Recap

Updated: Mar 16, 2023

Greetings in the name of Jesus and Happy New Year! As we look to the new year, it is common to look back on the

previous year and reminisce the goodness of God. I thought it would be fun to list what God has done in 2022.

Although 2022 is full of 2's, there were many 1sts for WEO RCM.

• In February a team went to Sierra Leone to attend the bi-annual pastor's conference.

• WEO started their first VBS for the children during the conference. Praising God for the 30+ children who

made a decision to believe in Jesus as their Savior during this time.

• WEO/RCM had their first VBS at the House of Grace orphanage in Mattru.

• Trusses were installed on the school buildings at the House of Grace.

• RCM had a sponsor travel with them so Glenn and Patti Carey got to meet their child they are sponsoring.

(also a first)

• WEO/RCM brought their first child home to America from the Bethany House in Liberia on a medical

visa. Catherine is receiving treatment for dysplasia of the patella. This was a journey that God took control

of and performed miracles to get her here. I praise Him!

• House of Grace in Mattru, Sierra Leone, opened up their first year in the new school buildings.

• House of Grace in Mattru, Sierra Leone, celebrated their first anniversary on campus Dec. 21.

• The Bethany House in Liberia has replaced their first building from the mud buildings that were built over 25 years ago. A two story school building is almost fully funded and will house grades K-12.

Goals and prayer requests for 2023

• Each orphan to have a sponsor.

• That each child would believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior

• That each saved child would grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ

• Pray for the teachers and the caregivers at each orphanage

• Pray for Doc Arnold and family, our new President, Dan Yanchak and family, and Mike and Cynthia

Scherer and family as we travel throughout the year giving updates to churches and individuals who

support WEO and RCM.

• To finish the bathrooms for the school at the House of Grace in SL $2000

• To finish the perimeter wall and security gate at the House of Grace in SL $500 per section and $1700 for

the gate.

• For the cost of living to go back down. The cost of rice has more than doubled.

It was truly a privilege to be part of the 2022 team. The needs are great and God is always opening doors of opportunity to serve. My prayer is for the obedience of His children to be doers while the fields are ready for harvest.
