Praise God! Look at the progress on the Makripodis College build in Africa in less than a week! The team, despite a few setbacks, is making mass amounts of progress!
The building's main steel frame is erected and represents the beginning of an amazing college to share the Lord and His wonderful works and creations.
The Makripodis College building was prefabricated in the US, special thanks to Mike Makripodis and a US-based prefab company, and shipped over months ago to the site ready to be erected. Along with that, some heavy machines had been sent to bring the building to life.
The building started with hand-made concrete reinforced footers that held the bolts for the steel frame to be secured to. This was essential to adding stability to the rest of the build.
Concrete was hand-mixed on a flat plain near the site and then transported by a wagon or wheelbarrow into the footers.
The volunteer team of engineers, and construction professionals (Mike, Dan, Jim, Michael, Kerry, Joseph, and Anthony) have been working tirelessly to maximize the build time. Thank you to Solomon for all the facilitation work on getting materials, additional workers, and needed equipment to the site.
We will continue to keep updates coming and ask for prayers for safety and blessings on these hardworking, amazing volunteers/workers and their families who are navigating life without them during this time.
You guys are working so fast! God is working wonders, thank you guys!
