WEO's Makripodis College Team - Phase One

Beloved Friends in Christ,

If ever you've wanted to grow your faith and spiritual journey with Jesus, please consider participating in the following opportunities, either in person, prayer, or as a financial contributor...

We have another mission trip planned this year (2024) during the month of May. We will be involved in two specific areas of ministry.

Ministry Opportunity #1: Phase Two Of Makripodis College Build In Sierra Leone

The first area of ministry for this trip is installing a raised metal roof on the recently erected steel superstructure of the building that is being constructed at the Makripodis College site in Moyamba Junction, Sierra Leone.  We are looking for individuals familiar with the installation of a VS-216 Raised Rib roofing system and associated crimping equipment. Additionally, we are looking to purchase/borrow/rent an electric (bi-directional preferred) quad lock crimping seamer that can handle the 17,000 sqft of metal roofing that will need to be installed.  WEO recognizes that this is a fairly specialized type of work, and as such, we are in earnest need of folks with this expertise who are willing to help out.  This group of travelers will fly into Freetown, Sierra Leone, and transfer by vehicle to the work site in Moyamba Junction.

Ministry Opportunity #2: VBS With Bethany and Grace House Orphanages

The second area of ministry will be to conduct two Vacation Bible Study (VBS) sessions, one at the Bethany House Orphanage in Saclepea, Liberia, and the other at the House of Grace Orphanage in Sierra Leone.  Our itinerary would fly us into Monrovia Liberia, where we would be transported by vehicle to the Bethany House orphanage site.   VBS sessions will occur over a five (5) day period.  At the end of the first session, travelers would then be transported across the border from Liberia into Sierra Leone to conduct the second session at the House of Grace orphanage in Mattru, Sierra Leone.  There are a lot more details pertaining to this trip and we will pass these along to individuals interested in participating.

Trip & Volunteer Details:

These work efforts are scheduled for approximately 10 days with the addition of 2 days of travel on both ends of the trip.  WEO will arrange lodging and food for all participants, however, we request that travelers work with their local churches to help raise funds for the trip.  On average, it costs approximately $3,000 - $3,500 for an individual to go on a mission trip of this type and duration.  The cost includes airfare, food, lodging, transportation, and any miscellaneous expenses that might arise.   Lastly, please don't let financial constraints curtail your interest in getting involved.  We believe that we serve a mighty God who is faithful in equipping his stewards to spread the gospel of Jesus throughout the world.

If the Holy Spirit is pricking your heart, nudging you to step out in faith, to serve our most Holy and Sovereign God, and to experience something that you will never forget, then...
